Quinta das Tecedeiras is located in the Cima-Corgo sub-region, in Ervedosa do Douro. It was previously inhabited by monks and nuns.
In that time, linen was the most profitable product that, woven by nuns, guaranteed the community´s subsistence. Located on the left bank of the Douro river, 5 miles from Pinhão near the "Roncão" bridge, it has a unique view of the Douro. From the 100 and 120 year-old vineyards and from the young vineyards with 20 years, the outstanding red wines are produced as well as the Vintage and the Late Bottled Vintage.
