In 2003, Dão Sul began to produce wine in Herdade Monte da Cal, in São Saturnino, Fronteira. But the Monte da Cal experience isn´t limited to wine production.
In 2007 the construction of a new winery began, designed not only for the production of wine but also to produce events in the Winetourism culture, from visits, to tastings and courses. Architecture and design is based in arab influences. Surrounded by the calm sights of north Alentejo, the winery is the ideal place to relax, where the time stands still. It´s also possible to enjoy the regional food, with a sophisticated and innovative touch. The Monte da Cal wines are available to consumers from the Red to Reserve. In 2008, in association with Casa de Santar, Monte da Cal launched Conde de Palma, a title of José Luis Vasconcellos e Souza. Get to know the Alentejo Wine Region |
